Pahoehoe Polyurethane Bass Strings
Named for the black ropey lava it resembles, the black Pahoehoe
polyurethane strings are now available in different tensions to fit various
playing styles. They are suitable for use on scale lengths between 18" and
23" when tuned to standard EADG bass tuning.  Strings will be available
in 3 different  sets:
  • Medium tension - Standard set - 20" to 21" scale
  • Low tension set - 18" to 21" scale
  • Medium tension set - Long scale - 22" to 23"
The medium tension sets have a nice smooth feel and are the standard
supplied on the Big Bufo, Baby Bufo and Semi-hollow basses.

The low tension sets can be used when you want longer sustain on the E
and A strings. They are softer and have a somewhat sticky feel. These are
standard on the upcoming concert sized Tadpole Bass.

Individual strings will be made available at a later date and will sold by the
inch for custom applications including 5 string or alternate tunings.
